PRODUCT DETAILS
The Aventon Level 4 ADV is the flagship of Aventon's commuter lineup — a mid-drive Ultro S motor with up to 100 Nm of torque, electronic shifting with Autoshift, 110-mile range, and Apple Watch integration. This is a true premium commuter platform: the mid-drive motor handles steep climbs and adventure terrain that hub-drive bikes struggle with, while the electronic Autoshift drivetrain picks the right gear automatically based on cadence and grade.
The Level 4 ADV ships with a step-over frame and is available in three sizes (Medium, Large, XL). For the step-through version, see the Level 4 ADV Step-Through.
WHO THE LEVEL 4 ADV IS FOR
- Hill country and adventure commuters — mid-drive 100 Nm torque pulls steep grades smoothly; far more capable than hub-drive bikes on real climbs.
- Long-distance commuters — 110-mile claimed range covers a week of moderate commutes between charges.
- Riders who want top-tier tech — Autoshift electronic shifting, Apple Watch integration, 4G GPS theft tracking, geofencing, startup password.
- Riders ready to invest in a serious daily driver — the Level 4 ADV is a step up in motor quality, range, and components from hub-drive commuters.

- Autoshift electronic shifting: The bike automatically selects the right gear based on cadence and grade — focus on riding, not shifting.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What's the difference between Level 4 ADV and Level 4 REC?
The ADV uses a mid-drive Ultro S motor with 100 Nm torque and electronic Autoshift drivetrain; range jumps to 110 miles. The REC uses a 750W rear hub motor and traditional drivetrain; range is 75 miles. ADV is the premium option for serious commuters and hill country; REC is the value commuter for most flat-to-rolling rides.
How does mid-drive compare to hub-drive?
Mid-drive motors apply power through the cranks, so they leverage the bike's gears. This gives better climbing torque, more efficient power use, and lower drivetrain wear. Hub drives are simpler and cheaper but less efficient on real grades.
What is Autoshift?
An electronic shifter that automatically picks the right gear based on your pedaling cadence and the grade you're climbing. You can override manually but most riders let it shift for them.
What's the real-world range?
Aventon claims up to 110 miles in Eco mode. In practice, expect 50–80 miles depending on rider weight, hills, throttle vs. pedal use, and assist level. Mid-drive efficiency on hills extends range vs hub drives.
Is it waterproof?
IPX5 water-resistant, not waterproof. Light to moderate rain is fine. Don't pressure-wash it and don't submerge it.
What's the warranty?
Aventon covers the frame, components, and battery for 2 years. As an authorized Aventon dealer, Around the Cycle handles all warranty claims in-shop.
