The Surly Big Dummy is a longtail cargo bike designed to transport a rider and up to 200 pounds of their chosen cargo. Even under the heaviest burdens, Big Dummy is smooth and maneuverable. Bikes and framesets include Dummy Deck, Dummy Rails and Collars, and Big Dummy Bags Version 2.0.

  • 100% Surly 4130 Chromoly Natch tubing, double-butted main triangle and fork blades, TIG welded, E.D. coated for rust prevention
  • Fender eyelets and Surly Trip Guides for continuous brake/shift housing or brake hydraulic lines
  • Two standard bottle mounts and one Three-Pack mount on Small frame; three standard bottle mounts and one Three-Pack mount on Medium and Large; two Four-Pack mounts on the fork
  • Includes two Surly Dummy Rail Collars for a stiffer Dummy Rail/frame interface
  • Includes kickstand plate
  • 26 x 2.5" maximum tire clearance; no limitation on chainring sizes
  • Weight Limit: 400 lb combined rider and cargo
  • Three wide-ranging frame sizes to fit most riders (S,M,L)

SIZING: Surly recommends the following sizes based on rider height

  • SM : 5'3" - 5'10"
  • MD : 5'6" - 6'
  • LG : 5'10" - 6'5"
